New The Gas Safe Register
The Gas Safe Register was formed in 2010 in the UK to replace CORGI gas standards. This is now a mandatory qualification for all heating engineers looking to install boilers in homes or deal with gas installations.
Every Gas Safe Register installer is issued a unique identification card, with a serial number connected to his name and status. You can verify if your service company is registered by searching for the Gas Safe Register online and typing in the name of the boiler installer or company.
In Central London a large percentage of the companies or tradesmen offering boiler installation in London do not show their Gas Safe credentials. These Central London gas installers should be avoided.
